I mean are they totally rad and parents are being a buzz kill and trying to rain on our teenage parade? Or are they like WOW why are we reading this bull? What's your deal on the issue, are you for or against this book ban? Or are you like me, and the last book you read was green eggs and ham. Which was totally rad by the way.
-Spicoliimhungry4foodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06258387234137825182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7306869114559272603.post-59812108108868181662008-01-14T09:03:00.000-06:002008-01-14T09:03:00.000-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.imhungry4foodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06258387234137825182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7306869114559272603.post-48418676550817102002008-01-14T08:34:00.000-06:002008-01-14T08:34:00.000-06:00Dear Iakona Makaiau,I agree with you. Although I'm not an English teacher or a regular academic teacher for that matter, I still feel that for a child to receive a proper education, they need to be familiar with everyday issues. These books give the students a good and realistic look at issues like these. Overall, I strongly enforce the keeping of these books in our school.

Mr Adam Tuckerkylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16959499326100007850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7306869114559272603.post-69517870969598158542008-01-14T08:17:00.000-06:002008-01-14T08:17:00.000-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.kylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16959499326100007850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7306869114559272603.post-5498965954793931472008-01-11T13:31:00.000-06:002008-01-11T13:31:00.000-06:00Hello Iakona!I was just wondering what your view w...Hello Iakona!
I was just wondering what your view was on what the whole PTSA banning those certain books. I think it is just awful that they might do this to us. I think that thy should just raise the age limit for the books that are not suitable for kids. What do you think?

Hailey ConradNataliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17413018427506932593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7306869114559272603.post-73969630106160927062008-01-10T08:16:00.000-06:002008-01-10T08:16:00.000-06:00Hello Iakona. I know that Perks has some pretty extreme drug usage and there are no repercussions, but it's still a pretty accurate representation of high school. Beloved had parts that were disgusting and that I had to skip over, but I think we just all need to realize that they are books and they are fictional. I mean its not like I read that much, mostly I am at the mall. I don't really take anything seriously.
Thanks,
SharpayKPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06039113535071177182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7306869114559272603.post-77053633286016501662008-01-08T21:30:00.000-06:002008-01-08T21:30:00.000-06:00Hey Iakona! Well the school is stupid. These books are fine, and they need to get over it. No book can be too violent. And for the racial things, kids like us need to know about that kind of stuff. We need to be educated. We are mature and can handle it. The school board sucks.

-John Sanderscaitlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14073221002070568293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7306869114559272603.post-1071989116150811262008-01-07T18:04:00.000-06:002008-01-07T18:04:00.000-06:00Hey jason,I was wondering what your thoughts were ...Hey jason,
I was wondering what your thoughts were about the PTSA wanting to ban all of those books. I think that all of the books are all appropriate for high school students. Although some of these books have violent or sexual themes, most of them can relate to themes many teenagers experience on a daily basis. I think that the books are essential in a high school students' education because they highlight themes that are happening throughout the world. What do you think about these books? Do you think some of them are too violent or too sexual?
Comment me bacK!knelsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15218642882686725615noreply@blogger.com
