Mr. Adam Tucker
Hello all. My name is Adam Tucker, or Mr. Tucker as the students of Maui High School would call me. I am the swim coach at the High School and the part-time gym teacher. I enjoy what I do and couldn't imagine myself in any other job. I will tell you a little about myself. I'm currently single and live with my friend in a loft in Honolulu. I went to school at Chaminade University for teaching and working with children. Right out of college and after graduation, I was offered the teaching and coaching position as the Maui High School physical education teacher and swim Coach. Like I said, I love my job and couldnt be happier. I love the faculty as well as the students at the High School and keep a good personable relationship with all of them.
In my freetime, I love to do everything. My interests come in manifold varieties and you seldom find me complaining or refusing something. I am spontaneous and love living my life to the fullest. Some of my main hobbies include teaching (obviously), playing soccer, reading, going to the beach and the mall. I think I've given a good, short and simple description of who I am. If you would like to read more, visit my bio here. Thanks for reading.
Adam Tucker.

Hello Mr.Tucker! It's Iakona Makaiau. I have heard that the PTSA is trying to ban a number of books from our school. I think that this would be a horrible thing to do. All of the books on the list to be banned have a great value of educational information along with morals. Also if the school were to ban these books we,the students, would lose out on many different styles of writers. As a teacher what do you think should be done? Do you think it is alright for the PTSA to do this? I would love to hear you feedback.

i agree with Mrs. Makaiau. i dont think its right at all! Mr. tucker, i work as a temp at the school and i have the chance to talk with many of the students. i think that they are smart enough to understand these books. as a teacher here yourself, dont you think it is unjust to limit a persons reading?
the above comment was made by Bou btw.
Dear Mr. Tucker,
Whats your opinion on the school board? I mean you are pretty cool and a fun gym teacher. But you don't really teach any of this stuff. I think your opinion is very important.

Hey Mista Tuck! I love to watch you swim! So the PTSA is apparently wanting to ban some books? I don't think they should. There is eduactional value and it exposes us to different cultures. What do you think. Write me back beeeeetch!

Hey Mr. Tucker-
I am glad that you as a teacher agree with my view to keep these books in the school district. These books are very educational and by taking them away from the school, the PTSA is limiting the education of our school. The issues that are taught in these books are important and they serve us a lot of educational value. Keep the books!!!!

Hey I heard about the book ban and I think it is ridiculous cause I remember reading some of those books and I don't feel like they harmed me in any way. On the contrary I think that they helped me out a lot. They gave me a look in to what other cultures and minorities go through in life, with out boring me. These stories give the kids a look in to the lives of people in the past and in other countries. Like the Kite Runner, yes it is violent but that is what made me really start to think about how people over there are feeling and what they go through and see. Oh and of coarse a little gossip, I heard that it was Samini Talli who was the person who brought this issue up to the school board, so we all know who to thank when the kids are reading the cat in the hat in stead of the classics.
